Roundball season gets back into full
swing within the next week as the
Tigers compete in Van's Invitational
Tournament and the Tigerettes begin
their quest for supremacy in 18AAA.
The Tigers, who were scheduled
to host Brownsboro Tuesday night, face
perenial East Texas power Whitehouse
tonight at 6 p.m. in the first round of
tournament action.
b Tiger win over Coach C. L. Nix's
Wildcats would set the local cagers for
a 7:30 p.m. tilt Friday against either
Big Sandy or host Van. Should the
Tigers lose they would meet the loser of
,thaj~g~me at 4:30 Friday.
'The Tigers are guaranteed three
games during the tournament as the
three day affair Is set up for the teams
to battle for first to eighth place
finishes.Teams entered in the tough
tourney, other than the ones already
mentioned, are Corsicans, Lindale,
Mineola and Canton.
Next week Coach Willie Wilson's
crew will continue to find the opposition
tough as Cayuga and T. K. German pay
visits to Tiger Gymnasium on Tuesday
and Friday respectively. Junior
