located at the end of the hall in the

washer and dryer.
The library facilities are in the

The doctor's quarters are in the first

approved by Texas Jail Standards
Commission inspector Bob Dearing as
part of the jail's certification.
Other operational procedures include
plans for the prisoners' visitation and
telephone correspondence, religious

Food. It's such a simple thing, you probably take it for
granted. But in our nursing home, we can't. We care about
nutrition. We care about variety. About freshness. We care
about serving a good breakfast, a hearty lunch and a solid
dinner.
On our staff are people trained to develop a careful ,
dietary plan for every resident. And we prepare our meals
the way they're supposed be. As good as home-cooked.
Our food isn't just mstitutlonal food, because we are a
home. We have to satisfy some of the most experienced
cooks around --our residents.
Good food is only a small part of nursing home care. But
it's an important part. For nutrition. Forhealing. For
making our residents feel at home.
We try to put just as much care into everything we do.
That's what total care nursing is all about.
Come and visit, and share a good home-cooked meal at
our home.

One again, the holidays are behind and Edgar, We bad our first session
us. We had such a lovely holiday
season. Everyone in this area was so
nice to us. We had parties, gifts, special
entertainment, the works. I guess
everyone is really ready for a little
peace and quiet.
We want to welcome several new
residents~ Mrs. Berta Cooper, Mrs.
Christine York, Mrs. Fannie McDowell.
These are three mighty fine ladies --

The flu bug has jumped on us and a
number of our folks are just getting
over the flu. I sure miss my partners
when they don't feel like getting into
mischief with me. Maybe in a few days
all will be back to normal.
Neither flu bugs or cold weather can
stop our domino players. Every mor-
ning sees Miss Ida, Edgar, Flonnie, and
Mr. Radney bard at it. I thiak Edgar
and Miss Ida are the current champs.

circles and into each other, but we will
get better, just you wait and see.
Our singing group is comprised of
Mr. Huckaby, Francis Reid, Pearl
Kelly, Lena Miller, Bee Whltely, and
Lucy Flemming. Petey Peters, Mabel
Pruitt, and America Jackson are our
cheering section. These guys sing pret-

gets warm.
