I Malakoff 4-H Club Meets At Junior High By Clay Smith Reporter The Malakoff 4-H Club met on January 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the Malakoff Junior High School with President George err presiding. The meeting was opened with the pledge to the flag and the 4-H Motto. Roll was called and the minutes of the last meeting were read. Robert Burley gave a report of the Christmas parade and the prizes won by the Malokoff 4-H Club. Marshall Tarver gave a report of the Christmas party held at the home of Mrs. Jesse Burley and of the distribution el the Christmas gifts given by the club members to the Henderson Nursing Home patients in Athens. ,, Why didn't my attorney TELL me? ) 6 .:< The Club was very proud over winning first place in the 4-H float judging, a blue ribbon, a trophy, and $5.00. The Malakoff float also won fourth place in the general Christmas parade judging. After old business and new business were taken care of, Mrs. err and Mrs. Burley brought the program on food preparation and table arrangement. The par- ticipants in the County Food Show plan to have a local club show on February 3. Twelve members were present, and two adult leaders. PASCHAL Mrs. Eberhart Dies ; Funeral Thursday Funeral services for Mrs. Sallle E. Eberhart, 78, of Brownsboro will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First United" Methodist Church in Brownsboro with the Rev. George Townlay and the Rev. William M. Walker officiating, and burial will be In Rock Hfl/Cemetery with Carroll and Lehr in charge. Mrs. Eberhart died Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at Henderson County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Van Zandt County and had lived in Hen- derson County most of her life. She and her husband, Pat C. Eberhart, of Brownshoro, were married at Leogueville April 29, 1917. She was a Methodist. Survivors are her husband; one son, Nolen Eberhart of Brown- sboro; one daughter, Mrs. F.,slle Lee of Malakoff; three Ixthers, John Pool of Brownsboro, Jack Pool of Dallas and Claude Pool of Carrollton; two sisters, Mrs. l-laU/e Fowler of Brownsboro and Mrs. Pearlie Loosier of Waeo, and eight grand children and two grest-grandehildren. Here Monday Funeral services for Almer A. Hoed, 78, of Athens, were held Monday afternoon at the Hassell and Foster Chapel. The Rev. Eddie Ricks con- ducted the services and burial was in the Oaklawn Memorial Park. Mr. Hood died Friday at 7 p.m. in an Athens nursing home after a long illness. He was born in Alabama and had been a resident of Athens for 17 years. He formerly lived at Corsicans for 30 years. He was a livestock dealer. He was a Baptist. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Vera Hood of Athens; two sons, Don Allen Hood of Dallas and Gene Allen Hood of Tyler; one daughter, Mrs. Nettle Ruth Robertson of Malakoff; one sister, Mrs. C. C. Hartwick of Anson, and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were J. W. Bostic, Andy Hitt, Bobby Bridwell, Wayne Litural, Wayne Barrett, and Johnny Mac Stone.
