The restaurant located on Highway 85 at Nob Hill Road in Seven Points will utilize lavish decorations to set the medieval style atmosphere, according to Dies. He noted that many of the articles used in the decor are antiques which he found in this area after several months of search. Highlighting the back- ground are several coat of arms plaques which have been built into the rock wall and are said to be over 300 years old, an antique bathtub which has been converted to a salad bar, as well as various other ornamentation reminiscient of the days of the knights of old. Also featured at the restau- rant is a spiral staircase leading to an additional din- ing area and balcony overlool- ing the lake. Below the staircase stands a flowing fountain. "The reason for opening the restaurant is to provide fine dining for a fast growing area," Dies said when talking about the business venture. He noted that the restau- rant had undergone extensive remodelings sinces its put- Malakoff Feed & Supply is currently holding its grand opening, according to Steve Dewees, owner and manager. The firm is operating at the location of what was formerly Nortex Feed & Supply, and features a complete line of Purina feeds and health pro- tucts. Dewses was manager of Nortex when the branch of the Corsicana firm closed earlier this year. He leased the building and created Malakoff Feed & Supply. "We're still carrying the same products as Nortex was", Dewses said. Grand opening specials continue at chase and that a much broadened menu was planned than that of his predacessor. The facility currently has seating capacity for 75 people and plans are already under way to add more space some time in the future. "We plan to grow with the area," he asserted.
