It has been an interesting 11 years. I ran into one of my high school classmates the other day. When Chad was several years younger she and her family lived across the street from us for some time. "Does Chad still pop wheelies and do his cowlicks still stand up?" she asked me. He does and they do. The cowlicks have been .a distinguishing Xactor for Chad since soon after birth ..... the wheelies since about age four. He has not demanded too much from life in these first 11 years....a freedom to roam to outdoors .... a bicycle....vegetables to eat instead of meat....and hot meals rather than san- dwiches. In return for his few demands he has given us an insight into nature we never saw before....nervous headaches from watching the wheelies....a better diet and more dirty dishes than we would otherwise have. He has also provided us with abundant love, a pleasant per- sonality, questions on the necessity of home work and sand in the washing machine. He has covered the walls of his room with posters Of cows, motorcycles, singing stars and bikes, all at varying angles. He has friends....and fights. He enjoys basketball, cer, track, baseball, ping out, "The Dukes of rolling hot roll dough into the cloverleaf, and jumping roof of our house. He also the breaking point for patience. Back to the very blonde and he has prominent cowlicks that with the new flea for he was younger he appearance, sometimes Dennis the Menace. I talked to Chad about the one day when he was something someone hs "Those cowlicks are part makes you special to me," I "That's the way GOd made makes them something to be rather than embarrassed He was at the beauty shop recently. She told me later conversation. "Now, Chad," she said going to do "Oh, don't do anything cowlicks," he said, "my them."
