SA--The Mal r, off News, Thursday, April 21, 1983 .l d By LORi CALLAWAY Michael Gregory, president of the Malakoff FFA Chapter, welcomed guests an I members to the annual Parent and Member Banquet Tuesday, April 12, at the elementary school banquet began at 7 p.m. and following the welcome the Invocation wan given by Aleaha Powel/, FFA Chapter Sweetheart, Local FFA officers opened the ceremony. Included was Gregory, president; Mark Mitchell, vice president; Sue Culpapper, secretary John Newland, treasurer; Kristie Allen, reporter; and Warren Alexan- der, sentinel. Each FFA member introduced his or her parents and special guests wei'e in- troduced by Johnny Mattingly, chapter advisor. Those introduced by Mattingiy were Olin Dukes, Lionel Duncan, Ralph Carter, Buster Carter, Clyde Dalrym- ple, Mark Jock, Glenn Costlow, Jary Hustead, Phllllp Spivey, Joe Johnson, Donnie Locke, Be Carter, Ervin Mat- thews, W. M. Johnson, Mike Grmman, Jimmy Grommm, Tom Pearson, Jim Blakeney, Dennis Cannon, Tom Wylie, Terry Ticknor, John ttayton, Willie Wilson, Dale Norris, Carl Anderson and Norman Plemous. Mark Mitchell introduced and presented certificates to judging teams. Honorary Chapter Farmer Award was presented to Ralph Carter by ad- visor Doyle Loper. The Coop Award was given to John Newland, who is em- ployed by Malakoff Feed and Supply. Sue Culpepper presented the Star Chapter Farmer Award to Michael Gregory and Warren Alexander presented the Star Greenhand Award to Tracy Edwards. Alesha Powell was introduced as FFA Sweetheart and presented a gift from members by Gregory. Gregory was presented the Leader- ship Award from Mattingly. JlraUl.
