Lake Boaters Offered

be held Saturday and Sunday

until 4 pro. at the following

Don's Port Marina, located
iorth of the spillway, off
Hiway 274 on the west side of
the lake; Public launching
ramp, located off the
causeway on the northwest
end of the lake off Hiway 85;
Public launching ramp at
Caney City, located on the
east side of the lake near
Caney City causeway;
Prairie (;reek Marina located
on the northeast side of the
lake; and Redwood Marina,
located on the northwest side
of the lake above Hiway 85.

vessel examining officer,
emphasize that the boat
examinations are not a law
and safety. Let's make every

Texas Checks
AUSTIN-- Comptroller Bob
Bullock mailed checks
totaling $826,677 to 251 Texas
counties Tuesday as payment
for issuing and processing
voter registration certificates
from February 1, 1976
through January 31, 1977.
Area counties received the
following sums: Henderson,
$2,113.20; Kaufman, $1,776;
and Van Zandt, $442.80.
The payments ranged from
a low of $6.80 to Donley
County to $117,141 to Dallas
County, Bullock said.
The counties are paid 40c by
the State for each voter
registration certificate issued
or canceled, he explained.
Three counties-- Brewster,
Fisher and Madison-- did not
submit the necessary paper-
work on time, said Bullock,
and will be reimbursed at a
later date.
