Interment followed at Oaklawn Cemetery in Mabank under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home of Seven Points. Mrs. Oden was born June 15, 1914 in Ladonia and passed away June 4, 2001 at the Kemp Care Center in Kemp. He was the daughter of Grover and Loudine Starkey and married Willis Oden on August 31, 1972 in Oklahoma. She moved to the lake area in 1977 from Dallas and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tool and the home extension Eagles Ladies Auxiliary of Dallas. She was employed with Stanley Home Products in Dallas for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, two children and one great grandchild. Survivors include her husband, Willis D. Oden of Tool; chil- dren and spouses, Rodney and Denise Oden of Uvalde and Michael and Sherri Oden of Watauga; brother, Howard Starkey; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Sacralmento Llamas Salinas Services for Sacralmento Llamas Salinas, 38 of Athens, will be held at a later date in Mexico under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home of Malakoff. Mr. Salinas was born March 29, 1962 in Mexico and was found dead June 3, 2001 in Cedar Creek Lake. He had been a resident of Athens for the past three months. He was previously of Mexico and worked odd jobs in construction and yard maintenance. He was married to Flora Olvera for the past 21 years and was of the Catholic faith. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Flora Olvera of Mexico; mother, Carmen Salinas Campos of Mexico; father, lsmael Lla- mas Salinas; children, Jaime Salinas of Athens; Dolores Salinas of Mexico; Carlos Sahnas of Athens; Veronica Salinas of Mexico and Silvia Salinas of Mexico; four brothers; five sisters and one grandchild. Willie Marie Fritz Graveside services for Willie Marie Fritz, 80 of Dallas, were at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 9 with Rev. Russell Rogers offici- ating. Interment followed at King Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mahank. M(s. Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Aslin of Terrell; Charron King Henderson of Dallas and Paulette Rhodes of Royce City; sisters, Juanita Baird of Canton; Laura Jean Kay of Killeen and Mamie Tatum of Cap City; brothers, J.C. Coker A private memorial service for Doris "D.E." Coker, 83 of Mabank, was held by family and friends. Mr. Coker was born May 19, 1917 in Durant, OK and passed away Thursday, May 17, 2001 at his residence. He was a furni- ture designer and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Survivors include his wife, Nina Faye Coker of Mabank; daugh- ter, Betty Shreves of Mabank; grandchildren; great grandchil- dren; great-great grandchildren; other family members and many' friends. Gone but never forgotten, lived a very good life, loved by fam- ily and friends. "I couldn't believe when he caught a 17.2 lb. bass. His vision had been cloudy before his cataract surgery, making it difficult to see to enjoy his favorite sport. He entrusted his eye care to Eye Dalton Trammell and thousands of others have entrusted their eye care to Robert J. Nettune, M.D. For over 17 years, Nettune Eye Associates has been provid- ing the Henderson County area with professional eye care in their own home town. OCIAT Donald Wayne "Don" Johnson Services for Donald Wayne "Don" Johnson, 58 of Malakoff, were at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 9 at Parkview Baptist Church in Malakoff with Brother Ron Huckabee officiating. Interment followed in Prairie Point Cemetery in Kerens under the direction Tomlinson Funeral Home of Malakoff. Mr. Johnson was born December 16, 1942 in Corsicana to the late (W.E) Walter Felda Johnson and Lena Mae Johnson of Kerens and passed away June 7, 2001 in Malakoff. He was a lifelong resident of Henderson County and lived in Malakoff for 39 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kerens and was the Chief of Police in Malakoff from 1992-1995. He was a member of the Henderson County Peace Officers Asso- ciation and was in the National Guard. He married Frances Evelyn Drake August 25, 1962 in Malakoff. Survivors include his wife, Frances E. Johnson of Malakoff; mother, Lena Mac Johnson of Kerens; children, Lisa Sims of Malakoff and son-in-law, Daymon Sims of Malakoff; sister-in- law, Carolyn Drake of Wells and grandchildren, Zac and Baylie Sims of Malakoff. Pallbearers were Bubba Buchanan, Charles Andrews, Todd Monroe, Lonnie Yarbrough, Daymon Sims and Harlin King. Honorary Pallbearers were Henderson County Peace Offic- ers Association. Memorials may be made to the Henderson County Humane Society. Ida Joan Lander Services for Ida Joan Lander, 63 of Kaufman, were at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 13 at Morrow Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Todd Peavy officiating. Interment followed at Morrow Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank. Mrs. Lander was born June 7, 1938 in Mertins and passed away Sunday, June 10, 2001. She was disabled. Survivors include her son, Henry Thomas Lander; daughter, Cynthia Ruano and husband Julian Ruano Sr.; brother, Billy Ted Lynch; grandson, Julian Ruano Jr. and two great grandchildren. Carley Elisa Lewis Services for Carley Elisa Lewis, an infant of Trinidad, were at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Trinidad Cemetery with Rev. Sister Cook officiating. Henderson County Triad The Henderson County Triad will have its regular meeting on June 21 starting at 10 a.m. at the Hender- son County Justice Center on Murchison Street in Ath- ens. These meetings last ap- proximately one hour and we encourage all that are inter- ested in helping to prevent crimes one Senior Citizens to attend these meetings. On hand to help in this en- deavor will be officer Pat McWilliams and Jamie Fos- ter with the Sheriffs office and also officer Buddy Hill with the Athens Police De- partment. They keep us in- formed on the scams and other things that are taking place in the county at this time. MalakoffCoal Miners Reunion The Maloff Coal Miners Reunion is being held June 23, 2001. We will be paying tribute to Mr. Freddie Cude by pre- senting his widow, Myrtle Cude with a plaque. Mr. Cude was affectionately known as "Mr. Malaekoff," our historian. He first began com-  ing to our reunions in 1984 and was a participant in all the re- unions that followed.
