The Rogers Report has returned!!! For those of you new to the area you're probably saying to yourself, the what? Well, let me explain. This is a weekly column that was started last year as a part of the Tiger Growl section of the paper. Tiger Growl was put togeth- er by the journalism class of MHS. Since then journalism has been cut from the high school curriculum. But I will continue to keep you abreast of the news from MHS. Now that we've got that out of the way, let's get down to the business at hand. The "PRIDE OF 76" Tigers will renew an old rivalry this Friday night as they host the Kemp yellow- jackets. It's been a few years since the two hooked up for a grid match, but they have been known to play some real exciting games. The Malakoff Junior Var- sity will open its 1976 season tonight (Sept. 9) as they travel to Kemp to take on Kemp's Jayvees. Game time is 7 p.m. The Jayvees are coached by Hub Wilson. This year during the foot- ball season I am going to attempt to keep you up to date on how the other teams in the Tigers' district are doing. This past Friday Ballet Class Rogers Report By Benny Rogers District 13-AA action went like this (District 13-AA teams in all caps}: White- house 21 CANTON 2, West- wood 6 BROWNSBORO 2, WILLS POINT 21 Edge- wood 0, KAUFMAN 14 Seagoville 0, White Oak 13 VAN 6 and MABANK 13 Crandall 12.
