Lord's Acre
The Malakoff First United
Methodist Church will hold its
First Annual Lord's Acre
Saturday, Sept. 16. The evefit

Cardette dance clinic
The TVCC Cardettes will
conduct their annual Dance
Clinic from 9:30 a.m. until
1:30 p.m. Sept, 16. The clinic
is open to girls ages 5 to 12.
The event will take place in the
ballroom in the Student Union
Building on the Athens cam-
pus. Cost is $30 per dancer and
includes a pizza lunch. For
those who RSVP before Sept.
8, the cost also includes a free
T-shirt. After that date, T-shim

Rootseekers meeting set
The next meeting of the
Rootseekers Genealogical
Society will be on Sept. 18 at 7
p.m at the Tri-County Library.

review of "The Story of
Virginia's First Century" by
Mary Newton Stanard, which
was first published in 1928. It
was republished this year in
honor of Jamestovcn's 400th

Each Tuesday morning

will be a member in the
genealogy room at the library
to help anyone wishing to do
research on their family tree.
