At the Trojan game which we won 58-8, sum- mer clothing was in s le, but any day now, we might need a jacket. Two of Tfinidad's older citizens died over the weekend, Lucille Banks and Dick Sharp. Children of Lucille's and of Dick's are familiar in the area. Lucille and her late hus- band Archie had three, one now deceased. Dick and Ellen Sharp had six. All but the Sharp's oldest attended and graduated from THS. My husband and I cele- brated 46 married years on Sept. 10 with a fast trip to West Texas, the small town of Coahoma. The United Methodist Church there was celebrating 100 years of existence, and we hoped to see "old" friends because we attended that church for eight years. Our children were born in Big Spring. We didn't know how to find Larry and Sydney Airheart who are in that area with Larry's job. We want the new lead- ers of the exes to feel good about all the work they've done. Tommy Thomas heads everything up, helped by Susan Covey and others I'll know next week. Volleyball games for the junior high and high school girls are played once a week somewhere. Watch the marquee for home ,games especially. At Mr. Sharp's funeral one speaker said the aver- age marriage lasts seven years in the U.S. and it's the 66 years the Sharps cel- ebrated that makes the sta- tistic as high as it is.
