CLYDE ROSE
Clyde Rose, 59, of Trinidad, passed
away Sept. 26, 1981 at Navarre County
Memorial Hospital in Corsicana
following a lengthy illness.
Services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday
at the First United Methodist Church in
Trinidad with the Rev. Tim Edwards
officiating. Burial was in Trinidad City
Cemetery.
Mr. Rose was born Sept. 18, 1922, and
was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He
had lived in Trinidad for 11 years.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Jo
Rose; his father, John W. Rose of Cor- :,,,~

and Shirley Ray of Ennis; three
brothers, Wayne Rose of Dallas, W.A.

Pallbearers were W.C. Fleming, Jr.,
Bobby Rounsavall, Don Bichell, Roy
Stanfield, Mondo Renteria, Larry Don
Estes and Curtis Moore.
Paschal Funeral Home of Kerens was
in charge of arrangements.
Art Society Report
MEETING AT THE HARBOR HOUSE on September 17,
of American Business Women's Association installed officers for
year. Mrs. Nannie Drake, acting-president, read the oath of
following: President Eva Wright; Vice President Donna York
Closser; Corresponding Secretary Peggy Estes; and Treasurer
Prior to the installation ceremonies, the members were treated to
art works featuring local artists. The program was presented by
Gregg, founder of the Mainkoff Art Society. Mrs. Gregg explained
and objectives of the organization and invited the ABWA members
the Society's Art Show to be held beginning October 12 in the
Library. Mrs. Gregg displayed several works, Including those of
nan, Lisa Stone and Page Suttem. The meeting was adjourned with S
that the next meeting will be held on October IS at the Harbor House.

entire membership in expressing ap-
preciation of the people who came to
the Sept. 19 exhibit and sale, to view
and purchase paintings by Society
members.
The exhibit and sale was the first
such event to be sponsored by a local
businessman.
The Society offers its thanks to Er-
nest Holland, owner of Phillips Ap-
pliance and Hardware Store in
Malakoff, for his encouragement and
support.
The next exhibit is scheduled for Oct.
12 and will run for several days. It is
expected to culminate in awards and
another, more extensive art sale, to in-
clude full sized paintings as well as
Imini-paintings.
