Robert WU- llams and Jessie Green were high point men for the Tigers with 14 and 11 respectively. ContribuUng to the girt victory were Carolyn Vieregge 26, Jan Phillips 16, Alberta Barron 16 and Joyce Green 4. Tuesday night with the Tiger A team, B team and Tiger- ette team playing Frankston, Malakoff posted two wins. The B team topped the foe 33 to 29. Jerry Don Hunter rung 18 points. In a close one the A team lost 64 to M. Top scoring Tigers were Robert Williams with 16 and Russ Poison with 12. The Tigerettes racked up another victory by defeating the Frankston girls 61 to 41. Carolyn Vieregge was way out front of the Tigerette high scorers with 42 points. The Women's Society of Christian Service of Trinidad United Methodist Church met in the F lucational at 2 p.m. Monday for their an- nual Thanksgiving progran The meeting was opened with the singing of "For the Beauty of the Earth," follow- ed with a prayer by Mrs. W. C. Fleming Jr. Mrs. C. C. Wright was in charge of the afternoon pro- gram and she chose as her topic, "The Year Thanksgiving Came Early." Her thoughts were based on scripture taken from the 16th chapter of First Clxronicles, verses 7, 28, 34 and 36 in which David gives thanks and praise to the Lord. Members of the Gleaner's Sunday School class of Trin- idad United Methodist Church met in the home of Mrs. G. ;W. Holcomb on Thursday eing, November 20, for their monthly party. Mrs. Bill McGee called the meeting to order and Mrs. Bama Miller offered the pray- er followed with the t- asur- ers report by Mrs. T. H. Start- field. The Tigerettes nugged out Scurry Rosser to 45 In the opener with Malakoff's Caro- lyn Vieregge contributing points to the victory. On Fri- day Brownsboro edged out the local girls by a score of 39 to 32 Carolyn Vieregge chalked up the hlghest number of points with 27. La Poynor ctmilenged the Tigerettes for the third place title, dropping to Malakoff 41 to 30 last Saturday evening. Carolyn Vieregge maintained her high point record with 24 points and was followed by Alberta Barton with 12. The Tigers dropped their opener to Cayuga M to 36, and the second match to Frankston to 60.
