Henderson County Training
School at Saint Paul on Decem-
ber 8th for their regular Winter
conference. The session was
held under the direction of Prof.
J. C. McAdams, Itinerant teach-
er trainer of Prairie View Col-
lege
The meeting was deemed high-
Iy successful. From the many
items that were up for discussion
the following objectives were set
up as a minimun for the coming
year; That each teacher introduce
at least 500 pure bred baby chicks
in his community That each
teacher beautify his school cam-
pus That each teacher construct
two modern poultry houses. That
teachers introduce one pure bred
sire. That each teacher enter
a team in the District and State
judging contest,
The following officials repre
sented their respective schools in
the conference. Prof. R. C.
Fisher, Athens; M A. Hampton,
Troupe; S V. Pierce, Chandler;
S. J Ross, Kerens; J W Smoth-
ers and A. H. Jones Malakoff
week by Evangelist R, G Fraser
and wife, came to a close with
the evening service Sunday. The
meeting continued over a period
of eight days, during which time
the church goers of the city were
treated to a series of uplifting
and inspiring sermons which
were generously accompanied by
scriptural quotations. Rev. Fra-
ser's every message was based
entirely on the Bible and he ad-
herred strictly to his text on
each occasion.
Those who neglected to attend
these services and to hear the
messages of this able minister,
surely passed up a golden oppor-
tumty. It was ¢ ith afeeling of
regret that these fine people were
permitted to depart, but as they
go they are assured of the addi-
tion of many admiring friends in
Malakoff who shall be pleased to
welcome them, should they again
chance to pass this way,
Rev. and Mrs. Fraser left
early Monday morning for Green-i
ville where they expect to corn-:
plete arrangements for a meet
ing, soon to begin in the state of
Alabama.

old floor, it is understood was
laid with an insufficient quantity
of concrete which caused the sur-

an extra amount of concrete,
