Cardui calendars'available S&H Green Stamps Lay-aways CROSS ROADS -- Kerens' Bobcats and Lady Bobcats took championship wins at the Cross Roads Invitational Basketball Tournament this weekend, while host Cross Roads won a third place trophy in the boys division. The Bobcats won the title game with a 48-28 win over the Wortham Bulldogs as Lewis BluRt scored 16 points and Darrell IAndsey added 14. Wortham's Jody Pitts was high point player with 18 points. In the girls championship game, the Lady Bobcats ended Cross Roads' 10 game winning streak with a 56-36 win. Lori Barnett scored 10 points for the Ladycats, while Dana Hughes addedl nine and Connie McKinnerney scoredJ eight. Lanna harton collected six points and Robin Chandler came up with one. In the hattie for third place in the boys division, the Bobcats took a narrow 34-32 win over Eustace. Danny Hughes scored 13 points to lead the 'CaLs, while Zabo James added nine and Jerry Logan scored six. Dewatne Cain came up with four points and Myron Green scored two. Don Cope was the leading scorer m the game for Enstace with 18 points, while Mike Moore came uv with six. Third place in the girlsdivision went to Wortham, who boat Eustace, 76-16. In the consolation bracket, Mildred's Eagles boat Trinidad, 51-42, while the Malakoff JV gals beat Mildred, 17-13 The girls all tournament team in- cluded Wortham's Nicki Pitts, Dana Hughes and Lanna Harton of Cross Roads, and Shesheko Washington, Tins Henderson and Marilyn Bradford from Kerens. On the boys team were Mildred's Ronnie Wigley, Danny Hughes of Cross Roads, Wortham's Jody Pitts and Anthony Toilette and Lewis BluRt and Darrell Lindsey of Kerens. A BATTLE FOR THE BALL ensued in Cross Roads Saturday night in the cham- pionship game between the Bobcat girls and Kerens' Bobcat Ladys.
